Production
The soaps by Savon du Midi are handmade in Provence, France. Soap making with plant-based oils has a long-standing tradition throughout the Mediterranean, especially in southern France – particularly in Marseille and Provence. Only vegetable oils from certified organic cultivation are used in the saponification process. After saponification, the final processing includes the addition of shea butter and, depending on the variety, honey, fragrance, or essential oils.
Savon du Midi soaps are produced using traditional expertise rooted in Provençal soap-making. This mostly artisanal process ensures a high-quality, mild, and nourishing soap.
No animal fats are used in any of the soaps.
