Olivetree an evergreen plant is one of the oldest cultivated plant of humanity and belongs to family of ash (Oleaceae), cultivated first in Syria and Crete. Later olivetree spread around the Mediterranian Sea and the other continents. The stone fruits first are eatable after pickle in water. Nearly 90% of all olives were pressed to oliveoil.

History of Civilization:

Olive oil was considered before 4000 years as elixir for health, used as food oil for internal and external utilisation. In Bible are numerous indications of medical applications about olive oil. In Egypt olive oil was remedy, in ancient Greece olive tree was adored as holy. In Roman encyclopedia "naturalis historia" olive oil already was recommended for external application. Hildegard von Bingen recorded healing powered of olive oil, too.
