Production
The soaps by Savon du Midi are handmade in Provence, France. Soap making with vegetable oils has a long-standing tradition throughout the Mediterranean, particularly in southern France – especially in Marseille and Provence. Only vegetable oils from certified organic cultivation are used in the saponification process. After saponification, shea butter and, depending on the variety, honey, fragrance, or essential oils are added during the final processing.
Savon du Midi soaps are made with traditional expertise rooted in the Provençal soap-making craft. This predominantly artisanal method ensures a high-quality, mild, and nourishing soap.
No animal fats are used in any of the soaps.
