Production
The Savon du Midi shea butter soaps are handcrafted in Provence, France. Soap production from plant-based oils has a long tradition around the Mediterranean, especially in southern France – particularly in Marseille and Provence. Only vegetable oils from certified organic cultivation are used in the saponification process. After saponification, shea butter is added along with, depending on the variety, honey, fragrance, or essential oils.

Savon du Midi soaps are made with traditional expertise in the Provençal soap-making craft. This predominantly artisanal process results in a soap that is mild, nourishing, and of exceptional quality.

No animal fats are used in any of the soaps.
